Shadometal - Metallic Louver System
Fixed or controllable perforated external solar shading system, designed to reduce glare and solar heat gain, for installation at any angle on the building.
The configuration of the system is determined by the building's geometry, the requirements for solar shading, and by the architect. A wide range of louver types is available depending on the building's functional and aesthetic requirements.
The heat and light reflecting louvers are designed to reduce solar radiation, while maintaining excellent visibility through windows.
Shadometal consists of a torsion tube support made from aluminum components holding brackets that provide attachment points for perforated louver plates.
The louvers are pivoted in plastic bushes. These are inserted in a hollow extrusion and require little maintenance. They are also designed to compensate for thermal expansion.
The louvers operate within a turning range of max. 90° by electric motors.
All pins, screws and washers are made of stainless steel.
